Q. What is the Dynamics SL Users Group?

A. The Dynamics SL Users Group is a community of organizations who are using Microsoft Dynamics SL software, formerly known as Microsoft Business Solutions Solomon.

This group provides a means of helping Dynamics SL users meet, network and learn from each other how to take full advantage of their software investments.  Additionally, we provide a forum for organizations to collaborate with others using the same software; all with direct support from Microsoft.


Q. Who runs the Dynamics SL Users Group?

A. In 2007, the Users Group became an independent, self-sufficient organization "for users, by users" which is run by volunteers from within the membership.  As a part of this transition to self-sufficiency, we also expanded our scope from a focus on the construction industry to include all functional areas within Dynamics SL.  We provide a unique opportunity for member organizations to share information in a personable, non-competitive environment with a spirit of mutual cooperation.  We continue to offer construction-focused content at our annual meetings, as this is still very important for many of our members.

We were originally founded in 2001 by certified Microsoft Dynamics partner, SIS, LLC, as a means of connecting their customers together.  Our group continues in the spirit SIS fostered. We will always be indebted to them for their past and continued contributions to getting our group started and keeping us healthy with their customers, presentation content, and expertise with Dynamics SL.  SIS and their clients are still active members and can always be counted on to lend their knowledge at our annual meetings.


Q. What are the benefits for my organization?

A. Joining the Users Group provides many opportunities to exchange ideas and information with other member organizations using the same software platform - Microsoft Dynamics SL.  We have found that many members know they would benefit from this type of dialogue, but are either hesitant or don't know how to contact other organizations about Dynamics SL.  The Users Group makes it not just possible, but easy for you to initiate these relationships.  One paid membership extends member services to everyone in your entire organization.

As a Users Group member, your organization also gains full access to our online benefits.  Features on the site include forums, discussion groups, and all presentations and notes from past User Group meetings.  You will also be among the first to receive new information on Microsoft Dynamics SL,including upgrades and new versions.  Users Group members are afforded the opportunity to provide feedback on product enhancements directly to Microsoft.

Once annually, the Users Group meets for an informational conference.  Incorporated into this meeting are many educational sessions and open forums that concentrate on Financials, Projects, Field Service, Distribution and Technical areas.  These are fast-paced meetings with sessions for all skill levels and areas of interest within your organization.

Q. How do we join?

A. A new process for becoming a member will be launched shortly!*  Specific details about this new registration process will be available soon, but the fee structure is as follows:

By registering for the SL Users Group Fall Meeting, your company will receive both one (1) paid tuition for the Fall Meeting and one (1) corporate-level membership with the SL Users Group.  This corporate-level membership extends to every employee within your organization, giving them full-access to member-only events**, content, forums, etc.

The registration fee for the SL Users Group Fall Meeting is: $600

Additional attendees from your organization may be registered to attend the event for: $350 each

*Registration for the SL Users Group Fall Meeting will be open soon.  Once it is, you will be able to register and pay online. 

**Additional fees may apply for certain events.  These fees will be clearly outlined.
