Closing Keynote:The landscape of the enterprise software industry has changed considerably since the 1990's boom of client-server software.  Today the industry is concentrated into a few vendors selling familiar software packages built from various 20-year-old technologies.  However, today the industry sits at the brink of another set of changes that will reshape it once again.  Our speaker, Doug Potter, is the author of the industry reference guide, Automated Accounting Systems and Procedures Handbook, and has been a professor at University of California, Irvine.  Under Newport Consulting Group, Mr. Potter conducted a series of seminars on the emerging new technologies for enterprise software.  Today he works with the Microsoft Dynamics series of products.
